JOPLIN, MO.--- 6 area choirs are set to compete in tonight's "Overflow: Voices in Action" event. It's the 2nd year for this competition which will feature three school choirs and three church choirs. All proceeds from the $10 ticket sales will be given to Watered Gardens Rescue Mission in Joplin. Last year's inaugural event raised more than $20,000 for the organization. Show organizers hope to possibly double that this year.

"It's just a good way to have good fun and to bring in the local choirs here and compete, has really turned out to be a good idea," states Lynn Conover, Overflow Producer.

The concert starts at 7 tonight in the College Heights Christian Church Worship Center. Tickets are $10.
