PINEVILLE -- Deputies with the McDonald county sheriff's office are collecting gifts for two military units from Missouri serving in Afghanistan. They are sending individual Christmas stockings to 180 soldiers. The dead line to make a donation is this Wednesday. Sheriff Rob Evenson says they are short on gifts this year and are asking for help from the community. Donations can be dropped off at the sheriff's office, or you can have them picked up by calling (417) 855-0858. A complete list of possible items that could be donated can be found on the attached list below.
