JOPLIN, MO.--- Around 10 p.m. last night, a fire broke out at 501 South Michigan Avenue. Joplin fire crews say flames were shooting out from the front door and windows of the wood framed house. 18 firefighters and 5 trucks tackled the blaze at the home of Mary Ioanis, who was renting the house from Josephine Waterford. The frame of the house is the only thing left. No one was injured in the fire and the cause remains under investigation.
