PITTSBURG, KS.--- Meet Jack Leigh, a World War 2 Navy vet.
"I enlisted right out of high school and at that time we were still at war with Japan," states Jack.
Following his footsteps into the military world were his sons, Marine Richard Leigh, and Air Men Craig Leigh and Timothy Leigh.
"It's a family tradition," states Ricahrd Leigh, Son, Marine.
They're originally from Pittsburg but now are scaterred throughout the U.S. Today's Veteran's Day Ceremony at Pittsburg State became their family reunion.
"We though why not and honor my dad's 85th birthday which is right around the corner on Veteran's Day," states Carren Barnett, Daughter.
Their sister lives in Pittsburg and organized the get together.
"I'm very proud of my dad's and brothers' service," states Carren.
She had a surprise for them, the mens' names engraved on bricks paving the PSU Veterans Memorial.
"It's very great to be recognized with your dad and your brothers in the same place," states Richard.
"Well I think it's fantastic I wish all the veterans could feel that, that sense of pride knowing that people care about you doing what you're doing," states Timothy Leigh, Son, Air man.
"It's a real honor, It's something that I never expected," states Jack.
"It's very special to be with my dad and brothers here," states Craig Leigh, Son, Air man.
18 other bricks honoring service men were also added to the memorial this year, that brings the total count to almost 3,200.
