CARTHAGE -- Luis Artega-Reynoso, 46, was stopped by Carthage Police officers Saturday on east Chestnut for suspicion of kidnapping. The alleged victim of the temporary probation order was in the car with him and was unharmed. Police on scene decided the incident did not meet kidnapping terms but did fall under the conditions of violating ex-parte. Artega-Reynoso was taken into custody and after further investigation was also charged with first degree burglary. He has been transferred to the Jasper County Jail where he is being held without bond.
