JOPLIN, MO.--- Today is Cyber Monday. Terry Hicklin is the owner of the Candy House in Joplin. He says he has seen a signficant increase in traffic to his website every Cyber Monday for the last few years. Hicklin says the online orders will continue to come in strong for the next several weeks.

"People as soon as Thanksgiving is over. They start thinking about getting those orders in. They have that 3 days. I saw somewhere online that business shipping was up 26% online. I think we're going to be right in there with that," states Terry Hicklin, Candy House Owner.

Cyber Monday began in the mid 1990's when people shopped at work the Monday after Thanksgiving to take advantage of their companies high speed internet.
