JOPLIN, MO.--- There were no winners for Saturday night's $325 million jackpot. The prize was then raised to $425 million and then upped again today to a record $500 million. According to the Powerball website, no one has won the Powerball Jackpot since an anonymous winner in Delaware won on October 3rd. That makes tomorrow's jackpot the biggest in Powerball history.
The lottery takes place in 42 different states, including our Four States, and the odds of winning are 1 in 175 million. Sales have been steady, but increasing here at Horton's Pizza in Joplin. Managers say they are expecting to see the biggest push for ticket sales between now and tomorrow night's drawing. People coming in and buying tickets say when the jackpot is this big, it's worth it to spend some extra money for a chance to win.

"So you just nickel and dime, dollar and dollar, you can't, you know. But when it's big like this, you almost got to," states Don Rivers, Powerball Hopeful.
"We could probably sell, a customer theirselves would actually buy maybe, I don't know, between 10 to 20 tickets at one time," states John Wynn, Hortons Pizza Owner.
The lucky winner of tomorrow's jackpot will enjoy about $327 million after taxes. Ticket sales will continue throughout today until just before 8 tomorrow night. The drawing will be at 9:59 p.m.
