CARTHAGE, MO.--- Debbie Heath loves Christmas. In fact, when many of us were decorating for Halloween she was putting up Christmas decorations. Her house is on the Christmas Homes Tour in Carthage, and she's excited to show off her hard work.
"I' love going into other peoples houses. I'm nosy. I think it's fun," states Debbie Heath, Historic Home.
One of the unique features in her home is that she has a tree in nearly every room.
"I didn't want to purchase a bunch of artificial trees and so I just got inventive," states Heath.
She got creative with it. This is a tree made up of just earrings.
"I'd had already gone through all my ornaments and then I just started going through my vintage jewelry. Made an earring tree," states Heath.
Other Christmas trees include one made up of tea cups, and this one is made up of gloves and
broaches. There are 9 different homes on the tour. Debbie's house is the youngest on the block clocking in at 100 years old. Amber Kenagy helps put the tour on and she says these homes are classics.

"These homes on the tour are ranging in age from 1884 to 1915. So really going back some time," states Amber Kenagy, Carthage Historic Homes.
One other thing that makes her home a classic is her kitchen counter. It has recipes from her mom's cookbook. Debbie fell in love with Carthage 7 years ago and loved all the historic homes.
"The leaves were rolling down the street. Everybody had hay bales on their front porches. I wanted one of these old homes," states Heath.
