PITTSBURG, KS.--- BMO Harris Bank gave a total of $12,000 to the 4 public elementary schools in Pittsburg. The schools will use the money to buy six iPads each. That makes 36 iPads total at each school. The Pittsburg schools superintendent says the iPads allow teachers to change up their lesson plans, incorporating apps on the smart tablets to help kids learn different material.

"Many of them are free and kids can use those to learn different concepts and they're really engaged with the process when they can use the IPads," states Dr. Destry Brown, USD 250 Superintendent.

The bank also donate $3,000 to St. Mary's Catholic School in Pittsburg. They will use the money to buy text books.
