Carl Junction defeated Joplin 73-58 in the finals of the Carthage Invitational. The Bulldogs put on a shooting clinic with four players sinking at least two shots from three point land.

The Webb City Girls stole the show at the Carl Junction Classic. The Cardinals avenged their district final loss to Carthage from a year ago to take the tournament title.

Meanwhile in D-2 women's hoops, MSSU won their 6th straight to improve to 6-1 with a win over Drury. Pitt State bounced back from their midweek loss with a close victory over Quincy at home.
