Shallenburger Make Political Announcement

A Baxter Springs Kansas native is making a bid for the sunflower state`s highest post. Former state representative and current Kansas state treasurer Tim Shallenburger will kick off his gubernatorial campaign Monday morning at the Baxter Springs High School gymnasium. The event will take place at 8:15 in the morning. The Cherokee County republican spent 12 years in the Kansas house before being elected to his current post in 1998.
