JOPLIN, MO.--- The Joplin School District is buying property at 1408 South Jackson from the City of Joplin. School officials bid $2,200 for the 6,000 square foot piece of land. The purchase is part of a long term goal to add space around Junge Stadium for future development projects around the football field. The site has historically been short on space since the field sits between residential neighborhoods.
