JOPLIN, MO.--- 2 families received new homes today from Habitat for Humanity. The ribbon cutting was held at the home of Chris and Leilani Tucker in the 2400 block of Wall street. Habitat also handed keys to Chase Shepard and Felicia Anderson. Felicia was 9 months pregnant with twins when the storm hit. The couple have another child on the way and say they are grateful for everyone who helped them.
"I've never felt such a warm heart because of so many helpful people. It's absolutely amazing that Habitat would do these types of things for people," states Chase Shepard, Tornado Victim.
Funding for the new homes was possible through a Community Development Block Grant administered through the city.
