Jail Escapees Still on the Run

Two inmates from the Lawrence County Jail are still on the run tonight. The two inmates escaped from the jail facility in Mt. Vernon early yesterday morning. Deputies are looking for 19-year-old Israel Brown and 27-year-old Matthew Madden. Investigators say the pair may have fled in a pickup and they are considered armed and dangerous. This isn`t the first time brown has been on the loose. He escaped from the jail in August. Brown was captured several days later hiding in Barry County. Brown is a white male with short brown hair and blue eyes. He is five foot seven inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. Madden is a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is six feel tall and weighs 157 pounds. Madden has tattoos of demons on his right arm and a joker on his left arm. If you should see these men, contact the Lawrence County Sheriff`s Department.
