ZENA, OK.--- Cornucopia is a 6 year old alpaca who recently received a new prosthetic limb. She broke her foot at a young age and it never healed, it later had to be amputated.

Duke Helms built the prosthetic out of carbon fibers and titanium, and it can withstand a lot of wear and tear. The owners say Cornucopia is an inspiration to so many other amputees to overcome great odds.

"It was pretty much exactly the way I would build a limb for a human that was amputee below the knee," states Duke Helms, Prosthetic Maker.

"If an alpaca can learn to use the artificial leg and be mobile, why can't anybody," asks Kathleen Callan, Alpaca Owner.

The owners plan on taking Cornucopia to several hospitals to show other amputees that anything is possible.
