LAMAR, MO.--- Lamar city leaders approved amending the budget to pay more than $6,000 to repair a dock at the Lamar City Lake. Recent high winds have caused the cables used to anchor it to stretch and city leaders are afraid they'll break. Winds have also caused the walkway to warp.

"It's still useable. We're just afraid it will break loose and go floating out in the water someday if we don't do something pretty quick," states Lynn Calton, Lamar City Administrator.

The city administrator expects the crews from a company out of the Tablerock area to reanchor the dock next month.
