YMCA Chilly 5k Challenge Run

JOPLIN, MO.--- The Joplin Family YMCA is hosting the 3rd annual Chilly 5k Challenge Run next Tuesday, January 1st. It starts at 11 in the morning at the intersection of 5th and Main Street and ends at the South "Y" off of 32nd Street.

Shuttles will be driving runners from the South "Y" to the starting line beginning at 10 in the morning. Registration is $25 and includes a t-shirt. You can register at the downtown and South "Y" or you can sign up the day of the race.

"We're really excited about New Year's resolutions and we want to support people as they make healthy choices, but this is also something that's just really fun," states Lori Jones, Joplin Family Y.

After the race, volunteers will be serving chili at the South "Y."
