Joplin Woman Admits to Tornado Fraud

JOPLIN, MO.--- Pamala Shafer, 37, admitted to falsely claiming her residence was destroyed in the May 22nd tornado. FEMA granted her $938 in temporary rental assistance.
She says she did not actually live at the residence she turned in for assistance. Shafer could face up to 5 years in federal prison without parole plus a fine up to $250,000. She's the 5th person to plead guilty to tornado fraud.
