PITTSBURG, KS.--- Kansas Governor Sam Brownback's Drought Response Team will meet this Friday in Topeka to hear from public water suppliers regarding the conditions of their supplies. Water availability and supply levels have been a hot-button topic in Kansas over the past several months.
The entire state is considered to be under at least severe drought conditions. The main focus of the meeting will be to ensure that the state has adequate water supplies available for people and livestock should the drought continue. 104 counties in the state have been declared either primary or contiguous disaster areas.
