Lawrence Co. Jail Escape

Two Lawrence County jail escapees remain on the run tonight. Deputies at the jail in Mt.Vernon say 19-year old Israel Brown and 27-year old Matthew Madden escaped early Wednesday morning. This is the second time Brown has escaped from the jail. He was captured after a day of freedom back in August. Brown was being held on robbery and armed criminal action charges. Madden was also being held on robbery and armed criminal action charges. Both men are considered to be dangerous. If you should spot these men please contact the Lawrence County Sheriff`s Department.
