CARL JUNCTION, MO.--- Carl Junction High School's 'Building and Trades' students have teamed up with Joplin's Habitat For Humanity to build a home near 22nd and Grand Street.

Approximately 50 students are enrolled in the school's program this year. Instructors say the project gives students a chance to take the skills learned in the classroom, to the job site.

"More than anything else, I think what the kids are gaining from this is or helping out people and what it means to the people. They're really appreciative, especially in a situation like this," says Christopher Huhn, Carl Junction R-1 Trades Instructor.

Students will be done with their share of the project within the next few weeks. This is the third house the students have rebuilt inside the tornado zone.
