Fatal Car Accident in Allen County, KS

ALLEN CO., KS -- Around 4PM Sunday the Kansas Highway Patrol Responded to a call on 800 street in rural Allen county. Investigators say a car traveling north ran off the road, struck at tree and then caught on fire. Austin Reser, 16, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 16 year old driver of the car was taken to the hospital. Troopers were unable to determine if the teenagers were wearing their seat belts.
