WEBB CITY, MO.--- The Webster Primary Center needs volunteers to be reading buddies with its elementary students. The new program is called Cardinals C.A.R.E. "Care" stands for "Come And Read Everyday."
The goal is to have volunteers listen to the students read everyday. Teachers say they've notice a dramatic improvement in the student reading skills if they have a buddy.
"They want someone to hear them read. Show that they care. Praise them, let them know what they're reading is important," said Sarah Lee, Principal.
If you would like to help, you can stop by the office at Webster Primary Center during school hours to sign up.
