PITTSBURG, KS.--- A new digital sign has been installed outside of the Crawford County Health Department in Pittsburg. Once it's running, the sign will be used to display messages about services offered at the clinic, along with information about how to stay healthy. Officials say it's just another way to get important messages to the public.

"It certainly will be a way to communicate what services we have to the public or where they can go for services to meet whatever needs they might have," said Janis Goedeke, Crawford County Health Officer.

The sign and installation cost about $34,000, and was partially paid for by a grant from the Kansas  Department of Agriculture.
