WENTWORTH, MO.--- A house fire broke out just before 8:30 yesterday morning at a home on Market Street in Wentworth. The owner and neighbors attempted to call 911 several times.
They say their calls kept getting dropped due to problems with AT&T 3-G service. They tried to put out the fire with a garden hose and fire extinguisher, but were unsuccessful.

It took 30 minutes for firefighters to arrive on scene. A broken power line in front of the home caused further delay. It took crews an hour to cut the electricity.
The fire was finally put out after 11 a.m. The home owner says she is frustrated with the cell phone problems they experienced.

"They couldn't get through, I couldn't get back through. I had people calling from Joplin. I'm assuming it was first response trying to get a hold of us again, trying to get through to find out where the fire was, where the address was and it just kept dropping them," said Tina Haase, Home Owner.
