CARTHAGE, MO.--- The River Street Food Pantry is hosting a series of free seminars. These sessions start tomorrow and will be taught by an education specialist with the University of Missouri Extension. The goal is to teach people living in poverty how to stretch their money.

"If you can learn how to control your money instead of letting your money control you, then you might get out of poverty a little bit easier. At least, the effects of it won't be as much," said Kim Scott, River Street Food Pantry.

The session is free and begins tomorrow at 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. The pantry is located at 210 North River in Carthage
