JOPLIN, MO.--- The First Presbyterian Church in Joplin held a luncheon to raise money for the Bill and Virginia Leffen Center for Autism. Church leaders estimate the event raised between $500 and $700.

"Our mission is always outreach, and this particular outreach is for the community and we had a pastor who started this about 10 or 12 years ago who was really mission oriented," said Ed Wuch, Luncheon Planning Committee Leader.

Church leaders estimate the luncheons have raised more than $50,000 for the autism center in the last 10 years.
