CHANUTE, KS -- Chanute police officers ask for your help in locating a missing woman.

Authorities are searching for 36-year-old Cristy Thomas-Wiles.

She was reported missing yesterday after authorities found a body at a week-old fire scene.

Authorities won't say whether they believe the body to be connected to that fire.

They also are not commenting on whether or not the missing woman could be the victim found at the scene of the fire.

An autopsy has been scheduled in the case.

You are asked to call the Chanute Police Department if you have any information on the case.
