MIAMI, OK -- Hundreds of high school students take a look at what college has to offer.

Northeast Oklahoma A&M College in Miami held a program called "Destination NEO" this morning.

About 700 students from 65 area high schools were taken on a campus tour, sitting in during various class lectures.

They also got to explore programs and clubs at a college fair set up in the school's gym.

"It lets students know what's available at the college, it gives us more of an opportunity and choice in what we want to do," says high shcool jusnior, Andrew Jackson.

Organizers say it's a great way to increase NEO's presence in the state and help students get a head start in thinking about college.

Participation in the program has nearly doubled from last year.
