Joplin Air Center to Match Luncheon Proceeds

Updated: February 8, 2013
JOPLIN - Each month the Alpha Air Center hosts themed luncheons to raise money for different charitable organizations. Starting today donations collected through the "second Friday lunches" will now be matched dollar for dollar by the group.

This month's cause is "Pilots N Paws," a non-profit coalition of aviators who donate their time to rescue and air-transport unwanted animals.

"We have a lot of people from the community and from the aviation come over," says Kim Earl, Marketing Manager for the Alpha Air Center. "So we have decided that this month we are going to match the funds that we bring in for pilots and paws because it is an organization that's very near and dear to our hearts," explains Earl.

The group raised 160 dollars from today's luncheon, which enabled them to donate 320 to "Pilots N Paws."
