WEBB CITY, MO.--- Webb City Police Chief, Carl Francis, is the new head of the Tri-State Major Case Squad. It's a law enforcement body made up of officers and detectives from about 24 different agencies.

The group meets about 4 times each year and is called out as needed to help departments on homicide, robbery, and serious burglary cases. Francis says he is looking forward to stepping into this new role.

"My goal has basically been just trying to keep the agencies flowing together, trying to keep everyone happy and make sure everyone feels involved and that's a tough job to do sometimes on the case squad," said Carl Francis, Webb City Chief of Police.

Francis has served on the Tri-State Major Case Squad since its inception in 1993, this his first time as chairman of the board.
