JOPLIN, MO.--- Joplin City Manager Mark Rohr, and state representatives Charlie Davis and Bill White traveled to Washington D.C. for a reception banquet. Rohr received a local leadership award at last night's "Friends of National Service" ceremony. Davis and White each received state leadership awards.
These men were honored for their role in developing national service resources following the May 22, 2011 tornado. The award ceremony was conducted by "Voices for National Service" which is a service advocacy coalition.
