Lawrence Co. Man Arrested For Alleged Sexual Misconduct with A Child

LAWRENCE COUNTY, MO--- Gary Mullinix, 65, of Aurora, MO was arrested Tuesday at his home in Lawrence County, after having several sexual online chats with what he believed was a juvenile girl he met on the internet. A search warrant was obtained by the coordination of the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force with the Aurora Department of Public Safety, and the Lawrence County Prosecutor's Office.

Duing a search of his home, Mullinix's computer was seized and found to contain images of suspected child pornography. Mullinix was booked into the Aurora Department of Public Safety on an investigative hold on three class D felony charges of Sexual Misconduct with a Child.

The investigation is ongoing at this time and more formal charges are anticipated.
