NEVADA, MO.--- Jay Peery, 44, is charged with 3 counts of statutory sodomy with a child under the age of 14. Vernon County Sheriff's Deputies began investigating allegations of molestation and sodomy of a male relative about a month ago.

The victim, who is now over 18, says he was sexually abused from the time he was 7 until he turned 11. Peery turned himself in at the Vernon County Sheriff's Office last week. He is currently being held on a $250,000 cash only bond. Deputies suspect he may have been involved with other victims.
