CARTHAGE, MO.--- The Jasper County Sheriff's Office S.W.A.T. Team prepares for a real-life emergency. More than 10 S.W.A.T. Team members stormed a vacant building off of the Carthage square this morning.

Today, they trained how to make an arrest during a high risk search warrant setting. The patrol commander says this is the most common scenario they face. They train twice a month to prepare for a variety of situations.

"We train not only in commercial settings. We also do school settings. We've done training in the mall and also in residential settings," said Steve Dorsey, Patrol Commander.

The S.W.A.T. Team is used about a once a month.
