JOPLIN, MO.--- Directors with the Joplin Museum Complex have been giving away old family photos from their Murwin Mosler collection. The photos taken by Mosler are mostly negatives of portraits, weddings, and other family events from the 1930's through late 1980's.

So far, they have matched around 3,500 photos with their rightful owners, but they have close to half a million photos still remaining. Directors say the photos are taking up museum space and they want to make sure the negatives are returned to their rightful owners.

"They could be all over the United States over this 50 year period. So, we're really looking for relatives that can connect and see if they're interested in picking these up," says Brad Belk, Joplin Museum Complex, Director.

If you believe you might have a family photo taken by Mosler, contact the museum by phone, email, or in-person.
