JOPLIN, MO.--- Joplin Regional Airport management says renovation work at the old terminal building is on schedule. City crews have gutted the building, and are working to restore perimeter walls, refresh the ceiling and floors, and restore the building's common area. Project leaders say much of the interior work will depend on which organizations submit bids to lease the space.

"After we get the bids and we know who the leasers will be, then we will finish up some walls and stuff to work with the leasers," said David Hertzberg, Joplin Public Works Director.

Bids to lease the 3 available spaces in the terminal are due by March 1st. City leaders expect the project to be completed sometime this year.
