JOPLIN, MO.--- Felipe Sanchez Junior, 26, and Ivan Fernandez Luna, 21, were taken into custody Monday night. The Jasper County Drug Task Force teamed up with Joplin Narcotics Officers and the Joplin S.W.A.T. Team in the arrests.
They searched a home at 2501 east 8th Street, seizing 30 grams of marijuana. Officers say it's specifically known as "Cush," a type of the drug that comes from California.
"Our drug task force has been conducting an investigation for some time on that specific address. And obviously their evidence has lead to the search warrant," said LT. Darren Gallup, Joplin Police Department.
Each suspect is charged with a single count of drug possession.
