JOPLIN, MO.--- The "Will Norton Miracle League Field" is complete and kids can now register to be on the spring baseball team. Anyone with disabilities between the ages of 5 and 20 is eligible to play in the baseball league. Players who sign up will be the first to use the "Will Norton Miracle League Field."

It was built to honor, Joplin High School graduate Will Norton who lost his life in the 2011 tornado. Special features like a flat playing surface, and handi-capped accessible playground give children with disabilities the chance to play baseball in a safe environment.

Organizers say there are about 2,000 kids in the area who would qualify to play in the league. Those who register will be placed on 10 player teams with games scheduled each Saturday for 6 weeks starting April 27th. The registration deadline is March 15th.
