Fatal Accident Near El Dorado Springs

EL DORADO SPRINGS -- Troopers from the Missouri Highway Patrol responded to a call around 11:30PM Saturday on southwest 40th road near El Dorado Springs. Tori Helm, 19, Ashley Johnson, 21 and Joshawa Willboughby, 23, all of El Dorado Springs, were pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Troopers say their pickup failed to make a curve, struck a bridge guardrail, overturned and landed submerged in a creek. Investigators say alcohol may have played a role in the accident. None of the victims were wearing seat belts.
