JOPLIN, MO.--- An overturned cement truck slows traffic to a crawl on Interstate 44 near Joplin. The cement truck was headed east on I-44 around 1 this afternoon, when the right front tire blew out. Police say the driver lost control and the semi ran up the guard rail in the median.

The cement truck slid on the guard rail before falling on its side. Officers at the scene told us, if it hadn't been for the guard rail wire, the driver would have driven into on coming traffic. The driver walked away from the crash with just a scratch on his nose.
