CARL JUNCTION, MO.--- The Carl Junction High School Boys Basketball Team gets a warm sendoff as they leave for tonight's playoff game. Hundreds of students lined the streets to cheer on the team as they departed for their state tournament game in Ozark.

2nd through 6th grade students shouted words of encouragement and made signs for the players and coaches. Members of the varsity team made sure to get high-fives from their supporters and thank them for the support. Players say they weren't expecting any of this and it's very encouraging to know so many people in the community care about tonight's game.

"It's crazy because you feel like you are actually somebody. It's a cool feeling," said Travis Vogt, Carl Junction Varsity Basketball Player.

The boys are playing right now against Republic High School. Our sportscasters will have highlights from the game tonight at 10 p.m.
