Joplin Human Services Campus Closing

JOPLIN, MO.--- The Human Services Campus in Joplin announced it will close on March 29th. Over the past year, the organization has helped 500 families, now they are helping around 35 individuals.
The organization has offered assistance with FEMA paperwork, child care, faxing, monthly dinners, and providing phone and internet. Organizers say this organization has been a convenience to displaced tornado survivors.
"Anything to help them get housing, such as Habitat For Humanity applications, we can fax those through here. They can get their credit scores from here, things like that. So, it's like a one stop shop and it's only a few blocks from their home," said Kellee Shepard, Project Manager.
A closing reception will be held Friday, March 15th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Human Services Campus location across from the Joplin Regional Airport. A small office will remain opened at the Joplin Downtown Y until May 10th for those who still need assistance.
