PITTSBURG, KS.--- Pittsburg residents have a chance to meet the candidates running for city council in the upcoming election. Dozens of voters packed the St. Mary's Activity Center this evening to hear the candidates views. Eight candidates are running for three open city council positions.

Those candidates are Dave Holloman, Ralph Mcgeorge, Chuck Munsell, Bill Wolper, Monica Murran, Letha Bolinger, Micheal Gray, And Cheryl Mayo. Voters will make their decision on Tuesday, April 2nd during the city's general election. Organizers say this forum helps educate voters on which candidate to chose on election day.

"Get out and hear about the issues that affect us and hopefully they will be able to make up their mind the more informed they are," says Cheryl Brooks, Pittsburg Property Owners Association.

The candidates will meet again on Monday, March 10th in Depaul Hall at Via Christi Hospital at noon.
