NEOSHO -- Hundreds of antique hand tools were on display at the Newton County Museum Sunday. Some were brought in by collectors, while others are property of the Historical Society. Experts believe most of the instruments were used to construct homes as far back as the 1860's. Organizers say they hosted the event in hopes attendees would help each other identify what some of the tools were used for.

"A lot of them haven't changed that much through the years," says show organizer Dale Jobe. "Obviously, they've gone to battery operated and electric, but they're amazed how they could build these big, beautiful homes with just these little hand tools."

By the end of the event, there was only one tool on display that remained unidentified.
