Empire District United Way Donation

By: Alisha Culbertson
Updated: March 13, 2013

JOPLIN, MO---The funds will go directly to 13 southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas United Way agencies.  The money was raised through pledges, payroll deductions and vacation day auctions. United Way employees say they're grateful for the sacrifice Empire employees are making to help others.
"These are the types of companies that really make a difference in the community, that understand that we all swim or sink together and so they are a prime role model for people who really support and understand community impact," says Bev Crespino Graham, Executive Director of United Way.
Empire employees have also been giving their time serving as Big Brothers and Sisters.
