Anthrax Prankster Sentenced

A Newton County woman pleads guilty to playing an anthrax joke. 55-year old Sondra Hilker of Diamond pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of third degree assault. Hilker allegedly played the joke at her place of employment, La-Z-Boy Midwest in Neosho. Investigators say Hilker sprinkled powder on a fellow employee`s computer workstation. For the prank, Hilker received a 15-day suspended jail sentence. She is placed on probation for six months and she has been ordered to pay $520 in restitution. Hilker was originally charged with a felony of making a terroristic threat.
