Tyson Chicken Lawsuit

Updated: January 7, 2009
A class action lawsuit filed by Four State residents is getting national attention. Less than one month ago, landowners along Grand Lake in Northeast Oklahoma filed a class action lawsuit against Arkansas based Tyson Chicken. Now, ten nationally recognized law firms, including one headed by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are saying they support the almost 1,000 plaintiffs involved in the case. In a prepared statement, Kennedy said quote, "Tyson will no longer be able to force citizens who live near its factories to incur the costs of waste disposal that should be borne by Tyson." A spokesman for Tyson says the company denies all accusations of wrongdoing.
