New information surfaces after a missing person is found. The investigation continues tonight at the pond were missing Diamond Superintendent Dr. Greg Smith was found. Dr. Smith`s body was discovered inside his submerged car, 11 days after he was reported missing from his Joplin home. The pond is located on Highway 59, just two miles north of Diamond Schools. Property owners and neighbors near the pond, say they altered law enforcement to suspicious activity in the area only two days after his disappearance. Other property owners say they also noticed a downed fence near the pond. According to Patrick they also called the Missouri State Highway Patrol, but did not receive an immediate response. The discovery of Smith`s car and body, came 11 days after the initial disappearance. A spokesperson for the highway patrol says typically they do not respond to downed mailboxes.
