Warnings About Agricultural Chemicals

A state agriculture department is warning local chemical dealers to be on alert. Officials say agriculture chemical dealers need to be especially aware of unusual requests or activity during this time of terroristic threat. Officials say it`s important to keep chemical and pesticide storage facilities locked at all times and limit access to the areas. Also, keep application equipment secure at all times. Refuse to sell chemicals and pesticides to those who seem suspicious. Also, always ask for identification and verify licenses with the Missouri Department of Agriculture. Finally, check chemical supplies daily and report any missing products to authorities.
